The Doncaster & District Cricket League was established by cricket enthusiast's in the new found coalfield region in 1912.The League grew to such an extent that it became possibly the largest organised league in the country,sadly this is no longer the case.
Our main aim is to foster amateur cricket by the provision of a league framework aimed at matching strength of teams with similar strength,as far as possible,with playing conditions of a similar grade.
